Xiao Zhang is a multi-media artist   and communicator based between Beijing and London. Her work has been recognized in a range of exhibitions, including the Horniman Museum & Gardens (London, 2025), the London Design Festival (2024), and the Zhejiang Art Museum (China, 2020), among others.

Her practice explores the evolving architectures of communication—across bodies, digital platforms, and intangible dimensions. She work across installation, video, image, and absurd object design to rethink how connection is rehearsed, staged, and often misfires in contemporary life. She treats unsettling interaction and the absurd not only as aesthetic choices, but also as critical tools. She doesn’t claim to offer answers—only uncomfortable, unexpected, and tangible questions.

Shifting between poetic systems and playful dysfunctions, she creates interactive spaces where audiences are invited not just to observe, but to participate—physically, awkwardly, sometimes comically.

在诗意体系与戏谑失序间游移，她构建出互动空间，邀请观众不仅观望，更要身体力行地参与——笨拙而滑稽地融入其中。
